Pilates is an exercise system that is focused on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility, and helping to prevent injury.
Classes usually begin with mat work aimed at teaching correct breathing technique and correct alignment of the spine. They are graduated exercises allowing you to work at your own level. Aids such as therapy balls, theraband (elastic bands) and hand weights may be used to complement the exercises.
What do i wear? Loose fitting comfortable clothing is fine, as is dance wear. Please wear socks and bring your own towel and mat if you have one.
